An elegant and timeless gold box chain with a small AMOURRINA pendant. The gold box chain, also called "venetian chain" (veneziana), is handmade with small gold rings to be welded together to form a fine link. This type of manual processing is typically Venetian: it is reported that the Venetians learned the process in Constantinople by the 6th century. The Venetian chains adorned the necks and wrists of Venetian noblewomen and Dogaresse throughout the history of the Republic of Venice.
